Welcome to my website.

I have been a teacher of voice, piano and music theory since 1972. 

I love working with students of all ages from 5 through adult. 

 

My Philosopy 

 

  • *Each student is a unique individual with his/her own style of learning.

  • *It is important that the student is affirmed for who he/she is

  • and encouraged to grow as a person through the discovery of music

  • *I focus my teaching on the student needs.

I amd comfortable working with individuals with physical challenges.  I try to focus on abilities instead of disabilities and try to find ways that my students can be successful in the enjoyment of making music.  I have worked with those who have arthritis, or other hand deformative.  I also work with autistic students.

I ask that students are able to take verbal instruction and can sit conmfortably on a piano bench in the case of piano lessons.

​

I offer a free evaluation lesson to determine the readiness of the student and to begin lessons and to answer any questions one may have about my style of teaching.
